You must know that
I just graduated from a master's program in Psychology
And yes, I want to go to Hogwarts!
Harry Potter is my life
I was one of those kids who liked but didn't love reading till Harry Potter came along!
I love that it's possible to bond over and because of Harry Potter. I love that most of the things I like to do, like reading and writing, I love because of the impact the series had on me!
I live in Chennai, India
I did a post in one of my favourite book bloggers', Hilda @ Catch The Lune's feature Armchair Backpacker about Chennai so do check it out if you're interested! Armchair Backpacker: Chennai, India!
The girl in my blog header is pretty much me-- in bookie paradise!
Books are my life and I'm always surrounded by books. I would love to be perched on a mountain of books, reading a book, especially Saving Francesca by Melina Marchetta which is my favourite Young Adult read of all time! I don't have a black cat but I like to pretend that I do. I call her Cat. 'Cause I'm weird like that ^_^
Fahima @ I Read, Ergo I Write designed the header for me and I was so stoked to use it! It's Me In My Head in Bookie Heaven :)
And that's where my book blog comes in
I decided to start a book blog on a random day in November 2011. Partly because it was the holidays and I was on another book binge. Also because I've been following book blogs all my life and it seemed like such a great platform to express your opinions, discuss and just have fun with all things bookish! Blogging has made me read more, branch out to different sub-genres and even different genres and meet a lot of amazing bloggers from around the world! I'm still starting out but love every minute of it.
I think one thing I've come away with in the past year is the realisation that a good book could be anywhere- traditionally published, self published, disguised as a tough plot that initially makes it hard to get into, judged by a not-so-gorgeous cover or a title you don't get immediately or just straight-up amazing, raved about, right in front of your nose. Nothing beats discovering a great book- especially when it's the kind you're reluctant to pick up! I'm always on the look out for those!
